Gratitude is, without question, one of the secrets to a happy life.  Having an attitude of gratitude, requires the conscious effort of being thankful. At KEG, we believe that practicing gratitude has a substantial effect on our success and happiness.  Recognizing the blessings, talents, and gifts in our lives and using them regularly increases our awareness and appreciation for all that we have been given.  Sharing our gratitude and appreciating each other adds meaning and value to our lives.

Service to humanity reminds us that engineering is first and foremost about making the world a better place.  Our projects make roads safer, provide clean drinking water, create jobs, and contribute many other valuable benefits to the public.  This core value fuels our passion and keeps us focused on making a difference in the world.   According to late Mother Teresa of India:  "We are nothing but a pencil in the hand of the creator."  Thus, what moves us from 'existing creatures' to 'living beings' is simply service.  At KEG, we are committed to service as individuals and as a team.

Partnership is the relationship existing between two or more persons who join together to accomplish something.  In partnership relationships, differences of gender, age, race, religion, or ethnic origin are seen as positive because these differences create a valuable depth of experience.  True partners accept, appreciate, and value everyone, even when they disagree.  Partnership relations promote creativity, trust, empathy, mutual respect, and caring.

 

In a partnership, each person contributes something of themselves (money, property, labor or skill) and expects to share in the profits and losses.  At KEG, we consider ourselves partners with our clients on each project.  As partners with our clients, we have an obligation to make sure our projects succeed.
