I-64 Resurfacing


SUMMARY

KEG Build, a Division of Kaskaskia Engineering Group, LLC, provided construction services on approximately three miles of milling, including all lanes, shoulders, and ramps east- and west-bound from the 18th Street Bridge to the Railroad Bridge West of I-255 in St. Clair County, Illinois. The project also included bridge repairs, resurfacing, guardrail/safety cable barrier, and other related work.

KEG Build’s work consisted of milling the mainline and shoulders and providing flaggers for traffic control for KEG Build work. Milling on the shoulders was to a depth of 1.5” and the mainline depth was 3.25-5” (varying) of HMA milling to expose existing concrete pavement. All work was performed overnight to reduce traffic disruptions to the traveling public.
