DETAILS

Owner:
Illinois Department of Transportation

Client:
Fehr-Graham & Associates, LLC

Project Cost:
$2.6 Million

Completed:
October 2013

KEG’s QA/QC review included a review of the construction plans, drainage design, pay items, quantities, and special provisions for conformance with current Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Bureau of Local Roads and Streets (BLRS) design policies as well as plan consistency, constructability, plan continuity, and overall plan appearance.  The construction plans included roadway and rehabilitation improvements as well as lighting improvements and structural improvements.

KEG’s QA/QC peer review provided several beneficial suggestions that not only improved the appearance of the plans but also improved the design of the project which resulted in project construction cost savings.  Due to the IDOT funding and letting schedule, the QA/QC review had an aggressive schedule that KEG met successfully for the client.
